Buy the pack, not a fake code
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 does not have a public in-game redeem-code box on the current Steam listing. If a search result says “AFE2 codes,” it is almost always talking about paid editions and DLC.
Steam US prices below were checked 3 Sep 2026. Your checkout can differ by region, tax and platform.
| What you want | How you get it | Steam US list |
|---|---|---|
| The game | Standard | $49.99 |
| Ripley Hive Exterminator Pack (exclusive weapon, outfit, unique augment and trait) | 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade | $19.99 if you already own Standard |
| Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack (Herk weaponry and gear) | Same Premium Upgrade | bundled in that $19.99 DLC |
| Rain Carradine loadout from Aliens: Romulus (exclusive weapon, outfit and extras) | Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack | $9.99, not inside Premium |
| Typed promo / gift codes | Not listed | — |
The old $69.99 “Premium Edition” talking point is just Standard plus the $19.99 upgrade. Steam currently sells those as two products, not one locked bundle you must hunt down.
What the Premium Upgrade actually adds
The upgrade DLC is built around two named packs on Steam:
- Hive Exterminator Pack — Ripley’s loadout. Steam says exclusive weapon, outfit, plus a unique augment and trait. That is the 40th anniversary Aliens look, not a hidden campaign chapter.
- Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack — gear for fans of Aliens: Mondo Pest and Mondo Heat. Steam says Herk’s iconic weaponry and gear.
It does not include Rain’s pack. That is a third product with its own $9.99 tile. Exact in-game item names are not invented here. Open the DLC page or the in-game store if you need the live labels after a patch.
You can stay on Standard forever. Horde, four-player co-op, the five classes plus Specialist, and the campaign are described as part of the base game. Premium is extra loadouts after you already own the sequel.
Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack
Separate $9.99 DLC. Steam describes an exclusive weapon, outfit and extra items inspired by Marie Raines “Rain” Carradine from Aliens: Romulus. Buy it only if you want that look. It is not a hidden Standard unlock, not a typed code, and not a substitute for the Ripley or Herk packs.
If you only have money for one extra and you care about Romulus, this is the cheaper single pack. If you want both Ripley and Herk, Premium is the better bundle math.
Pre-order claims and the first game
The sequel released 25 Aug 2026. Time-limited pre-order banners are not current entitlements. If a store still shows one, read the live widget on that storefront the day you pay.
Cosmetics, codes or edition extras from the original Fireteam Elite do not carry over. This buying table is only Elite 2 Steam products 3448650, 4941380 and 4941390.
What this page will not do
It will not publish fake weekly codes, copy a first-game cosmetic list, or treat a YouTube “free code” thumbnail as a source. If Cold Iron or the publisher later adds a real redeem system, this table should change. Until then: editions and DLC, not codes.
